THE MOTH AND THE FLAME
It was one of those nights
when fireflies were glowing
and the moth was gliding about.
It was one of those nights
when the skies were glowing
and the wind blew in and then out.

The likeness of the candle
fluttered on the wall,
whilst the flame burned somber
to the cry of a silent call.

In the swerving and the flutter
the moth in a sudden came
to nearly burn a smolder
in his hide and seeking game.

It was one of those nights
when the fireflies were glowing
and the moth flew to the corner to hide.

it was one of those nights
when the skies were glowing
and I wished you were here by my side.

I LIKE
I like the way we dance together
the way you hold and turn me in the air
I like the way you catch me when I stumble
the way you whisper that you love and care.

I like the way you pull me closer to you
and then at once you push me into spins
for all along as there I twirl and tumble
I feel your lips whisk gently on my skin.

I like the way we dance and move together
the way you look at me and smile
I like the way you hold me and you mumble:
"I wish for us to dance forever and awhile."

IF ONLY I COULD
I'd like to paint the world with my own colors
and moves some things around to make them fit
I'd shake and dust and grime that make it duller
and then the world would turn bright and neat.

YOU SAID
You said you want me to be your rose
to sniff and kiss me from lips to toes
like a butterfly in fragrant meadows
your brightly wings would scatter shadows.

When dawn arrives and dew me covers
you'd drink my crimson as you hover
and when the sun bears out her womb
you'd watch me come into full bloom.

You said you want me to be your rose
to thrill again my heart that froze,
you'd take me thus with barb and thorn
and mend the pedals that have been torn.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS
In the sky there was an eagle
flying high above the ground
and his shadow traveled westward
racing fast without a sound.

And a seagull over water
hovered silent in its track
as it watched his own reflection
sailing with him back to back.

Blackened crows raved up their solo
and an owl sat and cooed
at the tip of one tall cypress
that rocked him gently as it could.

Humming birds brightly colored
quivered fast amongst the leaves
and the robins came to shelter
their baby young below the eaves.

In the sky there were so many
flying creatures of all kind,
soaking up the evening sunshine
slowing down as they unwind.

There I stood my heart happy
and I wished this to never end
then I felt a cry inside me--
and knew you are with me my friend.
